Urological Oncology Center

The Urological Oncology Center primarily treats kidney cancer, urothelial cancers (such as bladder cancer, or cancer of the kidney pelvis and ureter), prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and malignant retroperitoneal tumors. We also provide treatment for rare cancers such as adrenal cancer, urachus cancer, and penile cancer. In addition to drug therapy for advanced and metastatic cancer, and surgical therapy for localized cancer, we also provide multidisciplinary care that combines drug therapy with surgery or radiotherapy, in order to offer the best course of treatment for each patient.

Drug Therapy for Urological Cancer

There are a wide variety of drug therapies for urological cancer, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, molecularly targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy. Our specialists boast expertise in each of these approaches, providing the most up-to-date therapies used internationally. The Urological Oncology Center is also known as one of Japan’s leading centers for the treatment of malignant urological tumors, and we have conducted numerous clinical studies and trials.
In every case, we consult with the patient and their family to ensure that we provide the optimal treatment for that patient.

Surgical Therapy for Urological Cancer

With our four full-time licensed surgeons for robotic surgery and four full-time certified surgeons for laparoscopic surgery, we offer high-quality, minimally invasive surgery that is gentle on the body. We are among the Hokuriku region’s top centers for number of robotic surgeries, and we are one of the country’s leading high-volume centers, particularly for kidney cancer surgery.
For bladder cancer, we are the only hospital in the Hokuriku region that performs total cystectomies and complete intra-abdominal urinary tract reconstructions using robotic surgical assistance. Additionally, our highly experienced specialists also perform abdominal surgeries for bulky tumors and invasive cancers.
